A man charged with making counterfeit treatment kits for Coronavirus, and sending them across the world, has appeared in court.

Stuart Gellatly, 28, of Snells Park, Enfield, was handed a 12 month community order, and ordered to pay compensation totalling £600 to his victims, after pleading guilty to actual bodily harm (ABH) and assault on an emergency worker at Inner London Crown Court on Friday 13 March 2020.

The couple defrauded the firm of solicitors out of over £60,000 when they submitted over-inflated payment claims for translation services on criminal casefiles.

A man has been sentenced after CCTV caught him purposely banging his knee five times on a paving stone in order to make a fake injury claim. When he’d spotted the camera, he started to hop on one leg in an attempt to authenticate his injury.
