Man charged following betting shop robbery

A 37-year-old man from Islington has been charged in connection with a robbery at a betting shop in Moorgate.

Jonathan Ruchavest, of Theseus Walk, Islington was charged yesterday (Thursday 29 June 2017) with robbery. He has been remanded in custody to appear at the City of London Magistrates Court today (Friday 30 June 2017).

It follows an incident that occurred on Saturday 27 May 2017, when a man went into a betting shop in Moorgate, demanded money and threatened a member of staff.
