Can you help our investigation?

Detectives from the City of London Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a report of suspicious behaviour in a clothes shop.

On Wednesday 15 February 2017 at approximately 1.15pm a man was believed to be following women as they shopped in a clothes store on Cheapside. The following day, Thursday 16 February 2017, the man was then reported to have been seen in the store again at 8.50 am and at 1.10pm the same day.

The man was also thought to have been watching women in the changing room area.

The man is then believed to have entered another Cheapside clothes shop on Friday 17 February 2017 where he is thought to have attempted to make his way to the changing rooms. However, he was stopped by a staff member supervising the area.

Detective Constable Sajida Zaman, from the City of London Public Protection Unit, who is leading this investigation said: “I am very interested in speaking to this individual as he may have valuable information that could help progress the investigation. If you recognise the man in the image, or you recognise yourself, please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity.

“ The City of London Police takes reports of this nature extremely seriously so if you witness such behaviour, please come forward and speak to us.”

If you can help, please call the City of London Police on 020 7601 2999 and quote 1165/17.
