Back to list Service & repair 25 Jul 2019 09:57 Police ask for witnesses after smash and grab at Louis Vuitton Officers from the City of London Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them, after two men attacked the front of the Louis Vuitton store at the Royal Exchange with an axe, hammer and machete. Police were called at 01.30hrs on Wednesday 24 July 2019, after the men stole approximately £5,000 worth of goods and escaped on a moped. It is believed the suspects fled southbound over London Bridge into Southwark. Detective Inspector Andrew Clarke from the City of London Police said: “We would like to ask anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident, or who may have important information that could assist our investigation, to contact us. “We are particularly keen to speak to any road users who may have dashcams or cameras fitted to their car or bike, and who may have seen a moped travelling quickly with two passengers in the Bank/London Bridge area around 01.25hrs – 01.40hrs on Wednesday morning.” Anyone with information should contact the City of London Police on 0207 601 2999 quoting the crime reference 19*386895.
