APPEAL: Police seek identity of member of the public who attacked homeless man

Officers from the City of London Police have today (Tuesday 21 May 2019) released CCTV footage of an attack on a homeless man by a member of the public, in a bid to find the individual responsible.

On Thursday 28 March 2019 at approximately 12:20pm, a homeless man sat outside the Dilieto Sandwich Bar on Fleet Street (EC4A) was kicked multiple times in a sustained attack by a member of the public.

PC Sam Lowe, from the City of London Police’s Communities Team, said:

“This was a violent and senseless attack on a vulnerable person.

“The attacker was queuing up outside the sandwich shop along with many other people.

“We would urge anyone with information about the person who committed this vicious attack, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to contact us.”
