Appeal for witnesses following man falling from Blackfriars Bridge

Officers from the City of London Police are appealing for witnesses after a man fell from Blackfriars Bridge.

The man, thought to be aged between 30 and 40 years old was seen sitting on the east side of Blackfriars Bridge at 21.00 on Monday 11 February 2019. He is then believed to have fallen from the bridge. Unfortunately he is yet to be found.

He is described as tall and white, of medium to large build, with short greying hair and was wearing a grey or brown fur jacket.

A call was initially made to the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) at 21:02. Officers from both the MPS and City Police attended, along with the MPS boat and helicopter.

Detective Inspector Mark Forster from the City of London Police’s Criminal Investigation Department said: “If you were near the incident or have any information that may assist with our investigation, please call 02076012999 quoting Crime Occurrence number: 19000072491.”
